There was a prophecy once. A young race would replace the old. Some interpret this as Humanity. The Humans would rise up and over-throw the Eldars old and dying empire. Leading towards a glorious and united galaxy at last!
This race was said to end the reign of Chaos. Humanity strives, with the assistance of it's Inquisition, Hereticus and Malleus, to stomp out any worship of chaos or summoning of it's daemonic slaves. The Eye of Terror would be patrolled, letting none escape, the Imperiums great heroes would set forth into the Eye and slay the gods whom dwell there, with the Emperor by their side. Names such as Draigo and Russ would be remembered in legend for Eons.
But the Eldars empire had already been shattered, it could not be the Eldar who were the older race, clutching onto old traditions and scavenging from lesser races.
Humanity causes as much Chaos as it destroys, their heroes are lost within the warp, merely fighting in futility, buying time, all the while watched by the sorcerer's lone eye, while the rest of their race fights eternally in a cycle of war with itself, feeding the thirst of laughing gods.
The Old Empire is Humanity, it's decaying Empire growing smaller each day. Humanity, yes Humanity is the true cause for such Chaos, the spark that lit the match. the match that is slowly causing the galaxy to burn, it's barren corpse being picked clean by vultures and those who slumber beneath the earth.
No, this race is young, naive to it's own destiny. Naive to the galaxy and it's greatest horror.
A warp storm the size of it's own holdings, spewing paradox and raw power into endless space. A rotting Imperium spanning galaxies larger than their own, whom with simple application of force could destroy it.
All the while, their leaders, while claiming to be equals, hide what little heavy truths they know, destroying, exiling and erasing those who know these truths. But they still know nothing of their true destiny, only their own delusional machinations and lust for power.
But I will make them see.
I have stared into the Abyss and I will not be left wanting. I will take the stars with the hands of those who would shun Chaos, those who would be it's anathema.
Black and Blue, the Imperium will be left bruised as Flesh and Machine become one.
Prepare for your ascension.

"It just isn't possible, you can't simply turn an entire world into a death machine." The Shas'O seemed flustered at the thought.
"Yet, that is exactly what my people did...there is one remaining, but it is in the space of an enemy Dynasty...for you to take hold of it, you would need to muster a significant force." The Overlord droned back to his supposed master.
"Or...lead to it instead..." The aged veteran supposed to himself.
"You will not be welcome in this consortium forever, your talent is wasted...with such a weapon as the great engine, you could house a worlds worth of soldiers, always able to travel and destroy worlds on a whim." A skeletal hand rested upon the Tau's shoulder, giving the xenos body a small squeeze, as if testing a ripe fruit.
