Having docked and had your crew start unloading cargo, a well dressed man approaches you.*

"You're new here, welcome to the island port of Intutum. A place where all men and women are free, provided they obey the rules of course:
Rule Number 1: No murdering.
Rule Number 2: No stealing.
Rule Number 3: Always pay your bar tab.
Other than that it's plain sailing. Just mind the boss, he doesn't take kindly to strangers."

*The man turns and points to a bar*
"That's the bar, it's cheap and the booze is plentiful"
*A brothel*
"The girls there are clean and well trained. Trust me on this one"
*Up the street*
"Up there you'll find elf, man, and dwarf alike selling and buying wares. Want a sword? Grigio the dwarf has you covered. Need supplies? Find Marko he runs the market, he'll set you up with fresh salted beef."
*He turns back and looks at you*
"Now I must be off, I see another foreign ship on the horizon"
*The man turns and leaves. Leaving you to find your own path*

*Looking rather accosted by the whole affair, is a rather shapely woman dressed as one would expect the captain of a fair vessel such as the one put to dock. Perhaps a little too much, what one would expect, come to think of it. A fine knee length jacket, in a suitably ostentatious color, bottle green is her chosen, the latest style of breeches from the colonies, a frankly absurdly tight cut which leaves little to the imagination, and the obligatory dress shirt, complete will lace frills, with the top two buttons left undone. Topping off the ensemble with calf boots with an inch of heel. She gives off quite the impression of someone trying too hard to appear captain-y. Regardless, no small number of men would be likely to take a pass at this fine maiden. If it were not for her heritage. Her skin is a shade of crimson, her eyes, irisless inky pools, and her brow sports a pair of small curved horns. A thick tail, tapering down to a leafbladed spear like tip dances around her ankles, as if possessed of its own will and temperament.*

*Flanking her vessel is a large 4th rate, and stepping off of the gangplank is her rather obvious captain.
He's wearing a fine knee length green coat, with a white trim along the bottom, and a gold trimmed white lapel. The arms carry the same green to his elbow where it becomes a deep brown, before ending in a white cuff with tapers over the back of his hand. The coat itself of closed, hiding whatever may lurk beneath. A red sash sits on his waist, held in place by a white belt with a golden bird of prey covering the buckle. Attached to this are a pair of rather well used Spadroons(sword), the blades hidden within a plain leather scabbard. Just infront of this are two flintlock pistols, with two more locked against the man's chest.
He wears knee length leather boots, with a slight heel and small golden buttons running up the outside, and a well fitting pair of black trousers which are masked by the coat.
His skin is a tanned white, his hair is a messy brown, and he has already noticed the Tiefling, having removed his tricorn hat and bowed his head slightly before making his way across the dock toward her ship"

OOC: I really hate/love how you've nicked my outfit idea before I even typed it.But hey I guess great minds think alike. An me being unoriginal I obviously poached it from Black Flag.

OOC: well i had this idea of her being a complete conwoman, so of course she looks captainy as fuuuuk

I haven't the faintest fucking clue beyond 'successful pirate' and 'Not Max 2.0'

*The teifling's ship is a fifth rate, a very similar build to his, but with one less deck. This ship has obviously been through some modification. It appears built for speed and firepower rather than any form of line brawling capability. On his walk over, he counts thirty two guns, without taking her cannonade into account. The crew are maneuvering crates off of her via dockside cranes.*

OOC: Carronade. I keep misspelling it too.

"She's a beautiful ship!"

*His own vessel carried nearer 50 guns, even though there was obvious room for upwards of 60. Thirty 24 Pounders on the gun deck, Sixteen 32 Pounder Carronades on the middle gundeck, a further Four Carronades on the weatherdeck, and finally a pair of 18 pounder long guns jut out next to the bowsprit. This doesn't include smaller weapons like swivel guns and so on, nor does it include his 32 pounder long guns. Which occupy some room in the cargo hold. His crew are also moving cargo to the docks, and this where the Tiefling notices that like their Captain, many wear a red sash locked in place by a belt. Almost every man wearing a sash is older than the rest of the crew and seem to hold authority over those who don't wear a sash.*

*the teifling looks at him, turning on one heel to face him* "Fastest ship west of janua." *she smiles a little, revealing pointed teeth.*

*He smiles back*
"16 and a half knots with a good wind"

"Twenty one is my record. She'll give eighteen on the regular."

"Really?" *He crosses his arms and shifts his weight back onto a leg, it's obvious that he doesn't believe her*

"Really. My sweet jenny will run along any ship i've seen."

"You haven't seen the Huntress fly, my dear. Come on" *He gestures for her to join him* "You're new, I'll give you a tour"

"I'm far from new in any harbour, but i'll take that offer, just the same."

"I think I'd remember a face as pretty as yours" *He smiles confidently* "Gideon Heloir, Captain of the Emerald Huntress" *bows as she walks up*

"Khalista Amemnon. Of the Jenny Hanniver." *In all likelyhood, the name rings a bell, perhaps a small one, but she's a woman of repute somewhat.*

"A pleasure"
*His own name rings a bell, Gideon is notorious for prowling around Elven waters and mercilessly sinking trade galleons. Atleast until the Elven navy started providing an escort to their Traders. This is likely Gideon's first stop since he was chased out of those waters several weeks ago*

"You wouldn't happen to be that cursed rogue the elves are chasing, would you?" *her tone is laced with sarcasm, and an eyebrow is creeping further towards the horns sprouting from her brow*

"I just might be, but what does that make me to you?"

"Someone to watch." *He remembers hearing something in a dockside bar once, about the teifling captain of the jenny hanniver. Strangely enough, the story had her being a man, never the less, she seems to fit it. Apparently she's a privateer to LongHarbour, an independent human city. Her rep revolves around taking smuggler vessels, dumping their cargoes, then auctioning the ships off for criminally low prices.*

"You usually operate out of Longharbour right? What's bringing you here?"
*He sets of toward the highstreet*

*she rubs a little something off her jackets cuff, then realizing its left a smudge on her white gloves, she licks a finger on her other hand, and rubs that off.* "Business."

"That's why everyone is here"

"That depends on your definition of business." *she gestures towards a rather impressive looking establishment, claiming to be "The best bordello in the new world" Among other things.* "The girls there really are quite impressive."

"Talking from experience?"

"Well that would be quite prying into a ladies private matters wouldn't it?"

*He chuckles*
"You can't blame me for being curious"

A big dragon born walks up to Gideon and the teifling "pardon me Gideon Lady khazzic wishes to speak to ya " Gideon will Rene the hulking brute at his old crew member vulik " Ah is this your first mate ? It's almost as if your trying to fill that hole khazzic made heh" he winks at the teifling

"And no those girls hardly compare to khazzics brothels ,she owns the finest establishments all over the world , after all people may not like teifling but they do love teifling women " he chuckles as he said that " if you're with Gideon it's on the house who knows khazzic might want to meet her replacement personally "

"Easy Vulik, this ain't my first mate. This here is Khalista

*Gideon rolls his eyes"
"Easy Vulik, this ain't my first mate. This here is Khalista Amemnon, she's a captain"

Khalista: "I can't tell if you just called me a whore. I'm leaning towards yes?"

Gideon: " Kazz wasboth my first mate and my lover. When she chose to run a brothel she left. And I've been looking for a half decent replacement"

Vulik grins " vey well Gideon feel free to bring your friend khazzic might get along with her " he chuckles again handing Gideon a badge before walking back to an establishment called the twisted tail it's a luxurious building with a pinup of a teifling girl holding two mugs on her chest

"This khazzic is a teifling, i take it?"

"What gave it away?"

"Being approached by a gentlemen, then being compared to his previous lover... Who knows, maybe i think you have a type."

*He chuckles*
"I do have a soft spot for Tieflings"

"I'm not sure if i should feel flattered."

"Well your ship wasn't the only reason I spoke to you"

"I've a ship of my own, I'm not looking to become someone's first mate."

"I wasn't going to ask you to become my first mate, but you're on the right track keep going"

"And i'm a taken woman."

"And I would have found that out later"

"Right, so. You're not some dashing rogue trying to get past my belt, what's your play?" *she stops walking, and clicks her heel, reaching around behind her back with her right hand.*

"Oh no you've me worked out"
*He carries on walking for a few more steps, putting about 2 metres between them before stopping and turning to face her.*

*She starts backing up a bit, it becoming very obvious she's holding a knife sheathed in the small of her back. Her tail coils around her legs like a protective pet, the spear tip hovering around her knees, swaying from left to right.*

"You're getting awfully defensive"
*Gideon risks a quick glance behind himself, just to make sure he's the target of her attention*

"You're being awfully suspicious."

"I literally just wanted to get to know you, and maybe bed you. That's it. Nothing more, nothing less"
*He's completely calm, the emotion she can really notice is how amused he is*
