Caiber, still with enough strength in his body, and worried as all hell about laurence, does the shadow in the warp thing again. 

The wulfen begin to pull back at the thunderhawk's approach
Charles: EVERYONE, WE'RE LEAVING, NOW!

OOC: Want to do things with Akira and Max? (Is there even stuff to do with them?) or shall I leave you two to your little wulfen adventure?

*Laurence continues to tear into erik, pinning him to the floor, heedless of those around him, caiber's efforts, however, wane his ungodly strength.*

*mute scoops up lucy in his arms, and runs towards the thunderhawk*

*Hera staggers out of the brawl, her armour rent and torn, the flames around her dying, blood trickling down her*

OOC: We can do akira max things

Caiber puts all his strength into it, managing to actually pull it off. Charles Telekenetically pulls laurence off of erik, as erik, laughing, backs away with the rest of his men. "this isn't over, inquisitor!" 
before long they're gone, as soon as they came. 
the surviving scions pile onto the thunderhawk. Charles gets anne on, before going back out, towards caiber and laurence

/The following morning\

*Laurence roars incoherently, it becomes apparent that whatever glimmer of intelligence guiding the beast, is just about restringing it from attacking them, and wont be able to calm the beast.* 

"ARRAAAAAHHHHHH!!! RAAAAHHHHGGHGHHH!!!" *He claws towards erik, and snaps his jaws.* 

*the salamanders back off slowly, putting down fire as they walk backwards to the ramp.* 

*hera staggers aboard, supported by mac, Jack kneels by anne, his armour is marred by a few gashes, but no blood*

Jack: "Anne...?"

Akira: *Snore*

*erik's gone. all the wulfen are gone, from sight entirely, save the corpses*
*charles continues to restrain laurence*
Caiber: *struggling to his feet* Laurence...listen to me. It's over. You..you can stop, now.

*anne's breathing, barely. She's alive. unconscious though*

*Max sits up and looks across at Akira*

Jack: *Pulls the first aid kit from the bulkhead, and begins to administer first aid.* "Come on, hang in there." *there's a strange tone to his voice, as if he knows he cares, but he's not quite sure how, or why.* 

Laurence: *His howls gurgle to nothing in this throat, and the formidable pulling relaxes. the beast releases a long breath, and collapses into a heap, the fur molting, and muscles atrophying.*

Akira: *She's asleep, her braid lying across her face, lifting gently as she breathes out*

for now she just lies there, fighting for every breath. 

Caiber meanwhile rushes over to laurence's side

Max: *Smiles and climbs out of bed, making his way to kitchen and getting to work on treating her to breakfast in bed*

Jack: "Come on, come on... "

Laurence: *he groans.*

Akira: *mutters something and turns over*

Caiber picks laurence up, adrenaline keeping him going despite his wounds. They and charles get back to the thunderhawk. Everyones aboard, lets gtfo.
Anne's still breathing. Finding it hard, but she's managing it.

Max: *Soon the glorious smell of a fresh full English fills the room*

*The ramp slams shut, and the hawk lifts off*

Hera: "...Whats... our casualties..?"

Akira: *Groggily opening one eye* "ohhh.... max. you shouldn't have."

Charles: too high... *makes his way over to mute and lucy*

Crach meanwhile looks...pale. Worryingly pale.

Max: *Looks into the room smiling* "Figured I'd surprise you"

Hera: "Shit..." 
*Mac puts a hand on her shoulder*
Mac: "It's okay..."

Logen: *sits by Crach* "Not a fun encounter, huh old wolf?" *One red eye peeks through the crack in his helm*

*Mute is cradling lucy to his chest, bandage wrapped around her eye. Mute hums a slow, mournful tune, and she shivers, clinging closer to him*

Akira: *sits up* "Waking up with you would have been good enough."

Crach: that was...impossible...those were... no... no...

Charles: *sorrow clearly on his face* I'm sorry I wasn't quicker. Hangon...hold still. This might feel.....strange. *he gently places his hand over lucy's wounded eye. a few moments later, he winces in pain, one of his eyes beginning to turn black.*

Logen: "You know what those things were?"

Lucy: *She gasps wordlessly.*

Mute: *stops humming, and looks up at charles.*

Max: *smile grows* "Tomorrow"

Lucy: *pulls away the bandage* "Charles...?" 

Logen: "It's alright brother... You're not them."

*Laurence is comatose in the corner*

Akira: "Tomorrow i'll make the breakfast."

*charles curses for a moment before shaking his head. when he opens his eye again. His eyeball's back*
"I knew there was a reason I don't do that a lot...fuck that hurt"

Crach: I could have been...that's what happens when our..when our gene-seed goes wrong.

Caiber's by his side, holding on to consciousness despite his wound

Max: "I might hold you to that"

OOC: Someone has seen Paul.

Akira: *She puts a hand on his shoulder, and pulls him into a kiss*

Hera: *her eyes flutter, and she leans on mac, slipping into unconsciousness.*

Lucy: "Thank... you." *she closes her eyes*

Mute: *nods at charles.*

Logen: "Rejection? Our failed initiates just die."

Charles nods and rushes to hera's side

Crach: ours...well. We don't administer the gene seed same way you milksops do... we drink from the canis helix. Have done since the days 'o russ. Then while the changes are still tearin us apart from within, we're dumped in the wilderness alone, and gotta make it back to the fang through blizzards and man eatin beasts. One of three things happens. We make it. We die. Or we become...that.

OOC i'd assume got on the thunderhawk too?

Max: *Eagerly kisses her back*

Mac: "She'll be right." *Gently shakes her shoulder, and she opens her eyes weakly.* 

Hera: "Hey..."

Logen: "Well hell. Even with an apothecary on hand, more than half of all initiates die."

Akira: *Pulls away.* "Breakfast'll go cold."

Max: "Eating in bed today? Or shall we be civilised for a change?"

"That was... something."

Charles: hey..you okay?

Crach:..those things... they're not even human anymore...even compared to us. But its worse than that...its said they can...infect the minds of others of russ' geneseed by being nearby..making us mad...bestial

*the tone aboard the thunderhawk is...quiet at best.*

*Laurence comes to consiousness with a gasp, eyes darting around the thunderhawk. The legionaries and salamanders regard him with a mixture of trepidation and fear, none of them far from their weapons.*

Logen: "By the throne... Speaking of bestial..." 

Hera: "...Nothing really, just some cuts."

Caiber's beside laurence, paying the others no mind
Caiber: You okay?

Crach: *not noticing* Logen... do you know the legend of the 13th company?

Charles: here *psychic heal* That should help

Logen: "They disappeared during the heresy...?"

Laurence: "What... the fighting... What happened?"

Hera: "I'll be fine charles..." *Smiles behind her helmet*

Crach: they were made up entirely of wulfen. They chased magnus through a warp portal on prospero.

Caiber:...to be blunt, you went 'beast mode'

Charles: if you say so.

Laurence: "I heard screaming... Then someone was hurt...." *He shakes his head, trying to remember more.*

Hera: "I've had worse..." *She chuckles, and lets her head loll back, helmet coming to rest on mac's shoulderplate* 

Logen: "Wulfen... Captain told me about them, didn't believe him... till today, obviously."

Caiber gestures to the unconscious anne

charles sighs.

Crach:..they came back. Very recently they came back, just before magnus' attack on fenris.

Laurence: *sits up, his back to the wall, the bloody gash in his chest slowly closing.* "I thought... I remembered Trisha." 

Mac: "She's a tough one." 


Logen: "The warp got to them... so it seems."

Caiber: its alright. We got out. *he sees the gash on caiber's chest.*

Charles: aye. she is.

Crach: no. They were still loyal. But... those who spent too long around them started to..change. First in mind...eventually in body.
