Lir: You imperials and your gold fetish...

Adriel: "I have silver too."

Lir: It is like you cannot make things out of anything but precious metals... is that supposed to be our parade?

*That is indeed their parade, snaking through the main street of the city, from its main gates to the doors of its cathedral. Thousands of citizens have gathered to see the saints.* "I believe it is, to the main gates, i assume."

Lir: ...just in time, it seems...
*she does a dramatic forceful landing in front of the main gates, making sure not to brutally crush anyone underneath, then stands proud with her axe like a poster child*

Adriel: *Glides down more gently, then dropping the last few feet, to land with a gentle thud.* 


*The crowd cheers loudly, children point and smile, while parents bend down to explain who they are, Guardsmen and arbites stand, spread across a line of temporary barriers to keep the road clear of civilians.*

*she looks around at the crowd for a few seconds, then heads towards the gates with the strides of a warrior, axe butt clinking on the floor with each step*

*Adriel keeps his wings spread, proudly spread above his shoulders.*

*and she keeps hers folded behind her... in bird culture, its only proper manners*

*Adriel is a fucking saint, not a bird, he cares not.* 

*As they approach the gates, they slowly begin to open, revealing a column of imperial guardsmen, complete with a leman russ, two hellhounds, two basilisks, and four chimera, the a full company, with armoured support, as asked for.*

Lir: *to ariel*.......are we supposed to ride these?

Adriel: "We are supposed to walk behind them, and look saintly."

Lir: *does so* ...this actually got out of hand somewhat.... I only intended to address some troops...

Adriel: "Now you get to address a planet."

Lir: ...lets hope that no inquisitor is watching..

Adriel: "I easily outrank an inquisitor. I'm a god damned saint."

Lir: with authority to sanction demons?

Adriel: "With the authority to kill him if he suspected a damn thing. Seriously i could haul one out of this crowd and tear his head off while yelling heretic i judge you, and id get a cheer for it."

Lir: ......yay for imperial laws...

Adriel: "Yay for sainthood. Of course if you think i would do that for your benefit, you may be mistaken."

Lir: Just "may"?

Adriel: "I might be warming to your company."

Lir: Oh, youre getting soft, knight...

Adriel: "I'll still ram a sword into you if you do anything objectionable."

Lir: now, there is our usual knight. So, how long is this walk going to be? it is agonizingly slow...

Adriel: "About a mile. So, around half an hour."

Lir: ....this will be a long walk....

*half an hour of walking, waving, and looking magnificent later... they arrive at a podium, i guess?*

*They arrive at a magnificent poduim, built from glossy white marble, flanked by statues of astartes. The priest stands at it, and as they approach, he begins a speech.* 

"Citizens of the imperium! Long have our brave warriors fought the xenos scourge, died protecting us all! The times where our brave youth must give their lives, to shield us all from the darkness is at an end! The Emperor, Glory to him and his name, has sent his saints to our aid! Cheer, good people of the imperium! For today, the emperors will made manifest walks among you!"

Lir: ....hes not actually wrong...
*they rise to the podium, i assume?*

*the priest steps aside from the podium for lir*

*he stands, in her usual pose with the axe, facing the crowd*
Lir: ..........The greenskin menace has been banished from this world, into the warp itself!

*A ripple or murmurs thoughout the crowd* "The warp?" "She sent the bastards to hell!" "What the deserve."

Lir: *after the murmur has died down* ....As always, the threat remains... Ridding a world completely of them is night impossible, without burning it to ashes... Therefore, although there are no major tribes present now, You shall remain forever vigilant! Should you let the tribes rise once more, so will your suffering at their hands!

*the crowd cheers in every gap longer than a comma.*

Lir: Be dutiful in your prayers, and ferocious in your battles, and you shall persevere...
*she raises her axe to the sky in a victory pose*

*the cheering takes a bloody long time to die down*

*After it does, she leaves the spotlight... time for the little mermaid if you want to, i guess*

*Adriel simply walks up to the podium, and says one line* "The Emperor protects" *the crowd echoes this with religious fervour. He then begins a prayer, and the crowd takes it up with him.*

/she is just watching from the back

"as for what I'm seeing, the mountains of gold and jewelry keeps flickering in and out of looking like valuable metals and gems and just being a mass of condensed warp material, light purple warp material. Almost pink"

Amo: good, at least you wont get tempted then, probably...

"I never had a things for precious metals so much, tyranids usually break them down along with other minerals from the planet we're assaulting"

Amo: it preys on greed. You see what you think is valuable. I guess they didnt account for murderbugs seeing it...

the infiltrator remains quiet, until she whispers to herself. given that they're the only ones (as far as we know) on the circle of greed he could probably hear this if he paid attention,

Amo: at anyrate, where best to hide something actually valuable than in endless piles of fake valuables? We are looking for a deep azure crystal, about the size of my fist. Should appear real, unlike everything else...

the infiltrator crouches down and just jumps very high up in a straight line up & down, looking around as she does this. once that jump's done she turns around 180 degrees and repeats the jump (and my brainpower just flops so you decide what she saw)

*well, cant say i expected that.... well... might as well see something akin to it a bit of a distance away...*
