Laurence: "At the moment, wait until they attack, defeat the assault, then counterattack."

*Laurence's communicator beeps*

*he answers*

its lyanna's comm frequency, but all he receives is a set of coordinates for somewhere on the planet, relatively nearby in no man's land

Laurence: "...I have a bad feeling about this... caiber, speak with the captain for me... I need to go check something." *he leaps off the landing pad, and vaults the wall, disappearing from sight* +Lyanna, talk to me.+

*the line goes dead as caiber does as ordered*

"Damn it..." *as he runs to the coordinates, he takes something out of his boot, and slips it into his sleeve*

he finds a cave, in the side of a cliff face, smack bang in the middle of no mans land

*he draws his force sword, and summons the adamantium skin he so habitually uses, and walks inside*

inside he finds nothing...until a small drone flies in behind him

Caiber finds Raeven

Laurence: *the drone startles him, he drops a few steps forwards, and turns, dropping into a fighting stance, bio lightning coiling up his arms*

*raeven presents himself, a towering figure in cataphractii pattern terminator armour.*

Drone:[Greetings]

Caiber: captain.

Laurence: "And you are?"


Raeven: "Xeno..."

[I have no name. My designation is R-515]

Caiber:...polite as ever.

Laurence: "What is your purpose?"

Raeven: "I have little time for xenos, or the inquisition, you're an unfortunate combination of both."

[Ordinary I am a recon unit, but I have information I have been ordered to share by {Redacted}]

Caiber:...well, that's nice. Not like I'm here to help at the likely cost of my own life or anything...

" she better not or you will all be dead before you could prepare"

Laurence: "Redacted hmm.... well, tell me what you've got then."

Raeven: "Cut to the chase xeno, why are you here?"

[My task is to share with you the location of something one of my fellow recon drones discovered on patrols of this planet, very valuable to my creators. The exact nature of this item and its purpose is {Redacted}]

Caiber: Laurence sent me, to find out the situation and help in any way I can.

Laurence: "Where is it then?"

Raeven: "The inquisito... Acolyte that brother tyren spoke of, hm. They attack us about once every three hours, Likely to be another in an hour. Find yourself a place on the line, and make ready."

[*insert coordinates here, somewhere behind enemy lines but not somewhere currently garrisonned if you get me*]

Caiber: where would you recommend for a close combat specialist?

Raeven: "The front, in the middle. These are iron warriors, they have a penchant for hitting their heads off the strongest point."

Laurence: "Well then, You can tell, redacted, that it'll be found. Whether it gets to their hands, thats another thing entirely."

Caiber draws his sword
"I'll head there"

[{Redacted} Says you will not want them to get their hands upon it. That this goes towards a favour owed. This drone will now self destruct for security purposes.]

*Laurence leaves, and begins moving towards the coordinates, attempting to remain unseen, and suppressing his warp signature.*

Raeven: "Don't get yourself killed."

as he leaves, the drone falls to the ground and melts
*it quickly becomes clear that laurence isn't gonna be able to sneak through THAT many enemy soldiers to get there. This is gonna need an actual mission*

Caiber: showing concern for the inquisitorial xeno, captain? I'm touched.

Raeven: "If you're useful, i want you to stay useful for as long as possible, you're here to keep civilians alive, remember?"

Laurence: +Caiber... I know why they're here, theres somthing, something they're looking for, you need to tell the captain to prepare an attack.+

Caiber:...neither of us are entirely human captain. You just had a choice in that. I'll do my best...hold on. +Attack? All things considered, that's not going to happen.+

Laurence: +I'm on my way back, we have to attack. Theres something they're after behind their lines.+

Raeven: "Point taken."

+Show me what you have. Perhaps there's another way than a direct assault.+

Laurence: +I've got a tip off from my... contact.+

+Get here, tell me the intel you have, in person. I was a tactician aswell remember, I'll see what can be done given the circumstances+

Caiber: possible change of plans captain...

Raeven: "Go on."

"Seems laurence has got intel on why the iron warriors are here...and we may need to do something about it"

"It wouldn't be that easy. Plus I won't let her"

" are you two immortal ? If not then it is that easy"

"We might be, I haven't given anyone the joy of killing me to find out"

She laughs a bit " now that is a good sense of humor "

*He smiles*
"So what did happen to you after you and your husband left?"

" well I was pregnant after our little debacle and well long story short he demanded a DNA test and I had to kill him in his sleep and leave , on the run with the imperials , I mean just out of suspition he took my eye"

"Fuck!"
*Max is a little shocked*

Raeven: "It figures there is something more to coming here than just the planet."

Caiber: indeed....but he seems to think we need to launch an attack as a result....something i doubt is currently possible. A surgical strike maybe...

Raeven: "We don't have the units for a small scale strike, its all or nothing."

"We have tempestus scions, Captain"

Raeven: "I know. But that won't be enough to break through their lines."

"Is that not their job?"

Raeven: "Their good warriors, but they're not astartes. attacking a dug in position when already at a disadvantage... *Shakes his head* the casualties would be dire."

"I swear surgical behind enemy lines insertion missions are something they specialise in..."
