A slightly smaller Mess

*meets his gaze* "and I'd do the damn same."

Mac: "Exactly. So the wolves did what was necessary, and what was right. Say another bad word about an astartes and i'll blow your throne damned heretic brain out."

"The astartes were doing their jobs. Those who sent them were the problem. Have you seen what the adeptus mechanicus does to those unlucky enough to be born under it's rule?"

Mac: "Noone likes the fucking mechanicus. The bastards are necessary though."

"Where I grew up they were slave masters. Everyone was little more than cattle, used to keep their machines running. Sometimes more literally than others. Of course we fought back."

Kreiger: transmitting now

Mac: "Pity for you. My heart bleeds, it really does."

Caiber: eh we got rid of em. That's when we found out we were wrong the whole time.... and when my little girl died

*the salamanders turn and drive back towards the trenches*

"(Yes, come with me.)"
The immortal ushers Webber in front of it escorts him out of the cruiser and to the snow cat, the Canoptek Wraith, Spyder, and the scarabs are all gone now and the vehicle is intact.

Mac: "Heart. Bleeds." *he eats a chunk of bread*

*He opens the back doors, and walks in, opening a drawer.* "Here we go..." *he pulls out a roll of paper.* "This... and..." *he grabs four pots, and pours the assorted stationary onto the tabletop, and grabs a marker pen.* "there we go." *he jumps out of the snowcat, down into the snow, and slams the doors shut behind him*

Caiber goes quiet for a moment. his eyes lock with macs. and mac hears a scraping noise as caiber clenches his clawed fist, his fingers digging deep, deep gashes in the table as he does so.

OOC: This is not the post you're looking for.

*Mac is looking appreciatively at his food, he doesn't meet caibers gaze. He takes a hold of the combat shotgun, in his right hand, and lays it across his lap, pointing at caiber. Then takes another bite of his sandwich.*

Caiber speaks with a hint of malice in his voice
"I've got more human in me than alien, soldier. And My daughters had even more."

Mac: "Little bit of taint in a human makes them worth killing. Little bit of xeno, whats the difference." *Takes a bite*

The immortal waited patiently for Webber outside, when he comes back out the immortal coldly escorts him back towards the cruiser...

"I am more than fairly certain that isn't how that works"

OOC: There we go, I've sorta worked out what I want to do with this dream sequence now

OOC: Okay? What we doin?

Mac: "Pretty sure fuckin a xeno's called heresy. So somebody down the line was a fuckin heretic."

"...*sighs* Look... we've gotten off on the wrong foot."

OOC: Basically it's how we drive Akira to doing a little 'research' once they get back. So she can help Max avenge his kids. So we can either skip the dream sequence entirely, or see if I can do a good job of a her emotions showing the path to revenge.

OOC: Go for it

Mac: "oh you think? Mans a fucking genius."

Caiber: How about...How about I get you a drink or something and we try this again?

Mac: "Drinks are free here, but the gestures's appreciated i suppose."

"What'll you have?"

"I'm eating dinner, not getting pissed, so, water'll do me."

"Alright" *he stands up and walks off. when he returns, its with said drink. he hands it to Mac*

Mac: "Thanks. So... Lets see this trying again then."

*The demons lash at her mind, consuming Akira as she falls until she awakens on the cold hard plasteel floor of the underhive*

OOC: Should add I'm using demons to represent emotions, I most definitely have not been playing Dragon Age. This idea is completely unique and I did not poach it!

"Right... so to be blunt, I'm going to be fighting beside you lot. that simple, no way around it. So I figured, better to know you lot than not. And your commander, Hera, reccomended I start with you and Mute. So, here I am."

Mac: "Good choice on her behalf. The others might kill you."

Akira:*She pushes herself up onto her knees, and looks around.*

"Wouldn't be the first time someone tried to on sight"

+Roger that. one moment.+

*It's a warzone, familiar gangers fight for dominance against the largest cult aboard the ship. To her right she sees men running to abandoned hab-blocks only to be gunned down in the street by MG emplacements. And to her left she sees Max with an auto rifle in hand leading a small group to flank and destroy the MG emplacement.


OOC: This is quite literally a memory from probably the largest battle she fought, so feel free to do a little world building.

Mac: "Yeah but this time it'd work."

Akira: *She looks down at herself, seeing if she's carrying weapons.* "Okay... Just a dream... just a dream."

*She's in flak armour with her fathers trench coat, her sword, and a lasgun*

"Maybe. Haven't met em yet, can't say."

Mac: "Hakken likes flamers. And likes to see shit burn, Jack's the damn best swordsman i've ever seen, lucy's just mean as hell and bandit... well, you'll not see him if he don't want you to."

*She grabs the lasgun, and runs into the nearest hab. Crouching against a wall, she listens for footsteps*

Caiber: sounds like an effective bunch. And yourself?

*The constant din of weapons fire makes distinguishing footsteps hard, but she soon hears a mass of footsteps, judging by the sheer volume it's at minimum 16 men strong*

Akira: "Okay... Just a dream, can't die in a dream." *She breathes deeply, then flicks the lasgun to full auto, and rounds the corner of the doorway, rifle raised*

Mac: *shrugs* "De-facto second in command."

*She sees a startled group of poorly armoured cultists, most are armed with auto rifles, though a pair do have heavy stubbers*

*she hoses the hallway with lasfire, bracing against the doorway* "FUCK OFF!"

Caiber: fair enough. Look.... I'll just be straight with you, since you're clearly not a man to... 'mince words'. I don't like the imperium. I don't hate it like I used to, but I don't like it. But, I hate the things it hates a hell of a lot more. And it just so happens to be imperials who're keeping me from being killed. Good enough for you?

*The lasgun reaps a brutal toll, and the 10 closest cultists including the heavy stubbers are eviscerated. With limbs and body parts either exploding or straight up being vaporised. The remaining 6 men come to their senses and open fire as they search for cover*

Mac: "Well, its gonna have to be isn't it? I can't kill you, cause of that scary fucker laurence. so." *shrug* "May as well make it easy and not think about it."

Akira: "Just as shit as they actually were... Score one for dream realism." *she ducks back into the doorway*

*Before the cultists advance, constantly pouring fire into Akira's position*

Caiber: spose if that's the easiest way....

Mac: "Aye, it is."

Akira: "Well shit" *She sneaks back out into the street, taking cover on the other side of the road, behind a bombed out car*
