Palmyra
a desert world in the segmentum solar long held in the iron grip of the imperium, now on the brink of war. Palmyra is the richest world in its subsector, as it lies right along an important trade route. its riches have allowed the cities that have grown around its great oases grand on a scale unique in the segmentum solar, outside of ultramar itself. While Palmyra does unfortunatly suffer from a local ork population, their defense force, under their governor odenathus have kept them weak enough to be effective life fire training without being a true threat. but now Odenathus and his heir lie dead, slain by a jealous rival. Zenobia, Odenathus' widow now rules, and has called for the heads of her husband and son's murderers. Fearing retribution, the culprits and their supporters have commited a grave act of heresy. They have allied themselves with the nearby Xenos empire of the tau, and invited them to wrest the planet from imperial control. Shas'O'Shasserra, known to humanity as commander shadowsun, has despatched a massive cadre of warriors from the dor'yona sept to secure the world, lead by famed commander Shas'O'Orla to lead the annexation of palmyra. seeing the threat this poses to imperial trade, and recognizing a parralel to the disastrous Taros campaign, the imperials have deployed several regiments of imperial guard and militarum tempestus, along with several full companies of the Dune shadows space marine chapter, a chapter who specialise in stealth and desert warfare, who have long fought the Dor'yona sept, and O'Orla in particular. The stage is set for a mighty war, where blood will be spilled in both city and sand.

the head trukk's engine is hit by 2 rail rifle shots

Boss: zog itz a trap get inta positins (the orks circle up with the trucks forming a barricade loota boyz setting up thier flasshy shootas) stopz idin ya grotz

he sees several piranha TX-42 around his group. they fire again, aiming for the trucks before zipping into hidden positions

The orks take pot shots (read shoot randomly with a stupid ammount of bullets wizzing everywhere) at the piranha "...fink we got one?"
boss: "shut it"

they jump out again, again firing upon the ork transports

the otks continue to fire at them tossing out stikk bombs to try and disorient and damage the piranhas

they cripple the last trukk before turning and zooming away

boss: shut it trukks ar arser den dat jus ggive em a kick and get uz movin again (they proced to do just that along with some minor repairs)
