I just had a new revelation in that field the other day that explains why it still seems it is:
To use an example from this world, say, and afghan who has most likely never met a foreigner other than russian an american soldiers invading can easily arrive to the conclusion that the entire USA abd soviet union is hell-bent on conauering them, eben though in reality there are hundreds more people in those countries who have never even seen a gun or know where afghanistan is.
