Also, to make a faction, all you need to do is choose a place on the map that isn't taken already. Then you put your dudes there.
And you can do anything with em really, but the most advanced weapon is a handcannon (pre musket) so crossbows and bows would be much more common.

It was made by the archmage of the Black Land, Fradd Huggels, four hundred years ago, in order to create equality between 'talented' people and 'not talented' people. The character itself does not work alone, to make it work you need to perform complex rituals. This was a great discovery, but 'talented' people were not happy about this.
