*he gestures to the hangar where they entered.* "As you can see, there are three other hangars such as the one you entered. One on each arm of the station. These will be where they will most likely front their attack."

"And obviously must be fortified, maybe even booby trapped.... but at the same time they will likely spread their attack out across the entire station. Are you familiar with the traitor legions' assault claws?"

"Breaching devices. They will have some difficulty breaching the stations walls."

"Ordinary ones would. These are chaos-enhanced, demonically possessed. There is no hull in existence that can keep them at bay."

"Perhaps not, but it will give warning. This station is stirring, human, wave after wave of canoptek constructs shall assault them. They will never establish a beachhead."

"...you are worryimgly arrogant about that. These are iron warriors. This is a fortress. No one captures fortresses like they do."

"This is not a fortress. This is a factory. They shall be forced to assault into the hangars as one, or in small groups through the hull. In small groups the canopteks shall overwhelm them with numbers. I am more concerned as to our ability to hold the hangars."

"The defensive turrets are online. And we may have ships in orbit before they arrive."

"The turrets won't help. And they'll have their own battlefleet remember."

"Unless we can funnel them into kill zones upon breaching the hull"

"exactly. Cut off passageways, funnel them down fixed paths, set up killzones"

"Whether our prey will allow such a thing..." *he taps his chin with his fingers rhythmically.* "No, humans do not yet have the technology to breach doors like these with simple foot soldiers."

*he takes his warscythe, and drags its blade across the floor, cutting the black stone underfoot. Barely a few seconds pass before the cut begins to seal itself* "They will find themselves trapped and cut off. Easy prey."

"So long as the station continues to function. it will repair any and all battle damage."

"They will be forced to board in small groups, or at the hangars. Are any of your soldiers equipped to hunt men through the halls?"

"My men are equipped primarily with hot-shot lasguns. relatively short range, but able to punch a hole in the power armour the chaos marines wear."

*he waves this off* "They're too weak, you should conserve your men inquisitor."

"Too weak?"

"The adeptus astartes will kill many of them."

"Less than you'd think. Besides, it won't just be astartes coming at us."

"The speed at which they will have to travel to avoid the defenses, would surely kill a human upon impact?"

Charles: some maybe. But if they get sorcerers aboard they can open warp rifts. Portals from which more men can spew.

"Hmn... this wouldn't be an issue... but... well, your psychic powers may prove useful."

"Not just that. They'll have enough powerful sorcerers to between them, just overwhelm a null field."

"Impossible."

Charles: that's the thing about the warp. The impossible being possible is just the warp's very nature.

"I am afraid that it truly is impossible psyker. A null field matrix cannot be overcome by means of the warp."

Charles: you've not fought chaos sorcerers, have you? Not true ones, in any numbers.

*amonet gives him a look, as if to raise an eyebrow, if he had any.* "I have faced far greater psykers than you can imagine. Before the immaterium was infested with such hellish creatures, the old ones and the eldar could open their minds to it fully without fear. These chaos sorcerers will pale in comparison i assure you."

"I have faced Magnus the red, necron. Perhaps you've heard of him. He's the human who could throw this entire system into its sun without even moving. Who could unravel the webway, and reduce even your Ctan to whimpering wrecks, before he even picked up his weapon. I know what I'm talking about when it comes to psykers."

"The old ones far surpassed your primarch, Human. *he chuckles mechanically.* Even the eldar in those days might have."

Charles: Don't lecture me about the war in heaven. You're talking to possibly the only human who knows the details.

"You are talking to someone who was there."

*his eyes dim, something approximating narrowing his eyes* "You are not the usual human."

"Took you long enough to notice. *Dashing grin*"

*he studies him, closely. His green eyes sweeping back and forth across his face* "We will talk more after this is over... We have things to discuss in private."

Charles: Well, Myself I have many abilities, but I specialise in telepathy. Very high powered telepathy.

Laurence: "Biomancy." 

Hera: "Pyromancy... less powerful than them."

Amonet: "...I see. Can you both overpower these sorcerers which are coming?"
