She gets alot of unwarranted attention from drunk and sober Cymriac alike, but most are focussed on the big money event infront of them.
The 9 of the 10 named men are all either faffing with their bows or paying attention to the man infront of the targets, he’s older for sure, with a long well kept beard and braided hair. He stands at a good 6’2 with arms like tree trunks, and skin scarred to fuck.
Stood a good 80 yards away is a fresh target made of straw and oak, its face marred by only a few test arrows.

Yenefasi gets a front row seat to the show as he draws the first arrow, his well honed muscles contracting across his arm and back as they take the weight. In an instant he releases the arrow sending it hurtling downrange and into the target, with an ill controlled the roar the crowd erupt, celebrating a bullseye and chanting his name: “Uhtred! Uhtred!”

Diana: "Maybe he did... Never realized really. Too busy trying to prove myself."

Yenefasi deflects the drunks with articulate phrases in kelthrovi, whether they understand it or not, it seems to work most of the time, and when it doesn't, a swift knee to the fruits is a pretty good second. Any of the better looking sober gentlemen, who can match her sharp tongue, she abides, and chats with as she watches the action, sharing with them the bottle of kelthrovi red wine.

*heavy footsteps approach the archery stuff*

Justin: you didn't have to prove yourself to anyone.

Diana: "A woman in a mans world. Of course i did."

"Come on, you're not the only woman in the legions"

To her right is an older gentleman, around 30 to 40, she can’t quite tell. He looks more traditionally Cymraic with a large moustache, a well kept beard, and spikey white hair. His looks however mask his both his intelligence and his civility, the man balances actual conversion with compliments and pointed remarks about the contestants. His ire is most notably being directed at Uhtred, who as he puts it “Has more on his arms than between his legs.” Unfortunately before he can continue insulting the man a well armoured and escorted bookie turns up behind the trio.

His accent is heavy but he atleast speaks the common tongue extremely well
“And you my lady...will you be placing a bet tonight?” His question is obviously directed at Yennefasi.


A pair of armoured guards stop the heavy footstep person

LI glances down at them, her mask hiding her expression. in her hand she has an absurdly large composite recurve bow

An older guard: “If you’re looking to compete it’s too late Clavae. You can watch provided you do not disturb the archers”

"Do you plan on preventing me?"

“Did I stutter?”

"Did I?"

“You will not be competing. You may watch and maybe use the range after the competition is over.”
While his partner looks kinda nervous, this particular guard has yet to show any sign of wavering. His voice remains steady and his tone absolute.

Yenefasi pulls five silver coins from her dress, between her, unimpressive, but none the less pleasing to the eye, cleavage. "On the young prince."

"Do you think it's worth the risk to try and stop me?"

Bookie: “A fine bet, 5 to 1 odds on first place. Your name?”
She notices that the gentleman to her right is doing his finest to not look at her tits for too long

Guard: You threaten to destroy this alliance. Is this alliance between our people worth destroying over a simple competion?

"No. But you do. What happens if you try to stop me exactly?"

Yen: "Yennefasi Aebbeba." Its rather hard, the dress is low cut almost to the point of unnaceptability in noble company.

Diana: "Mostly men though."

heavy footsteps yet again approach the competition.

Justin: *smiles* you were better than the rest of us anyway

“If he wins, a runner will bring you your winnings. Good day” he bows slightly and walks away, leaving Yennefasi and the gentleman to their business. Unfortunately try as he might, the man’s eye wanders and she can practically feel his gaze lingering on her legs and chest.

Guard: “Either you stop, or we have to follow and probably hit you. If you get violent......we die. And the prince will have you killed. If we do nothing we fail in our task, and you’ll interfere in the competition”

Different guards go to inspect the footsteps

"How many die if things get violent with me, soldier? Is that worth it to stop me getting in?"

The guards find Hakon, walking down from the citadel, towards the ruckus of the archery contest.

Diana: "Better than you with a sword... Not the best though."

Yenefasi arches her back, yawns daintily into her hand, and 'adjusts' the fabric of her dress. in such a way that the slit up her leg rises another few inches.

The man coughs and uses it to mask another look
“I think we need more wine”

Li guard: “How many lives do you think a simple competition is worth Clavae? Is it worth killing a hundred men? Is it worth a thousand? If you are so eager to kill then draw your sword now”

Hakon Guard: “You are Hakon...you come to watch the competition?”

Justin: Don't need to be the best eh?

LI:...You do realise i could kill a thousand of your men without my sword.

Hakon: "I have come to keep the peace."

Diana: "I didn't, i see that now."

Yennefasi swirls the bottle. "not much left in here... But the sattrap's cellar has plenty..."

“We can’t leave all that wine unattended....unsavoury sorts might try to take it”

Li guard: “You may be clavae. But you are not stupid enough to risk open war with the prince”

Hakon Guard: “Follow the shouting, the competition is there”

In the background everyone hears more cheering as Uhtred finishes his 4 shots and goes to collect his arrows after hitting 3 bullseyes and a central ring.

Yenn just motions with her eyes, and slips out of the crowd, heading off up towards the citadel without waiting up.

Hakon walks on past towards the humming throng.

she grabs him by his shirt and lifts him a good five feet off the floor
"Try me"

Justin: *puts a hand on her shoulder* Besides, you were always the best as far as I was concerned

Hakon: "ewiyewini wedetachi ānuri" (Put the man down.)

Diana: "Because i dumped you into the mud with some regularity?"

The man follows without hesitation, and without Yenn watching he makes sure to enjoy following her

The guard glares as her angrily while his partner raises his spear shakily and tries to look threatening

*removes the hakon response*

Justin: that and the number of times you kept me breathing.

LI: I could snap your spine with one finger. Do you want to test my patience?

The guard is ever defiant: “You want to risk war? You would kill a man when you could walk passed him? If ever there were a time to kill that stigma surrounding your kind. It would be now”
There’s an obvious venom to his tone now

"Could always knock you out. Just walk on in."

Hakon: "LI." *the gentle point of a spear taps her back.*

Diana: "yeah... that too."

Yenn walks with more then necessary swing in her hips.

The man rather obviously enjoys this as it takes quite a while for him to catch up

Guard: “You would have to answer to the prince and your consul if you were that stupid”

Another roar rolls across the city as a new contestant readies himself, this one being called Aethelwold

"Are you sure you want to test if I'm willing?"

Justin: what was it, fifteen times?

“To knock me out? I know you will. But the longer I keep you here, the longer they have to finish so you can’t interfere”

*knocking out happens*

Announcer: K.O.!

The younger guard panics and thrusts his spear into her armpit

Hakon steps forwards, and grabs li's arm, pulling her forcefully to face him, and her armpit out of the way of the spear.

Diana: "Stopped counting. Just figured it got me infinite free drinks."

Yenn turns around, walking backwards up the cobbled streets towards the citadel, she bends forwards, just a bit, just enough for him to see down her dress.

The man smiles and it’s quite obvious he approves
“How long must you tease me?”

Yenn: "As long as it takes to find another bottle of wine and a feather bed?"

He chuckles “How far to yours?”

Yenn turns around, and beckons for him to walk beside her. "To the palace gates, down some stairs to get wine, up some stairs to a my bed."

“I like this plan” he catches up and matches her stride. To any onlooker it’s quite a cute scene, an older couple chatting on the way home, the gorgeous wife and a lucky soldier.

*other bloke gets knocked out as hakon turns her*

Justin: that it did *laughs*

Hakon: "Walk with me." It is very definitely a command, not a request.

Diana: "I told those stories over and over..."

yenn: "So... tell me what you do, while your tongue is still supple and sober."

LI: why?

Justin: you did?

Hakon: "The Prince sent me to keep the peace."

Diana: "You forgot? Every time we drank."

He chuckles “I am the prince’s advisor and a member of his council....what about you?”
