++Appreciated Captain!++ Manson roars as he sprints straight forward, his artificer armour shrugging off shots like they were nothing. Brothers by his side as they charge into the trench.
Manson sweeps two and fro with his hand flamer, scorching anything within before they leap down.
Azkeroth notices a energy signature, but is powerless to do anything. He attempts to warn the knights.

The marines encircle the body, scratching away the paint underneath.

*Four drop pods scream into the low atmosphere heading straight at the iron warriors trench line*

Icarus lascanons and quad guns attempt to intercept the pods but they are innacurate at best

"I know this colour... Its the XX Legion... The alpha legion... It explains the disguise" Says one of the marines.
"We have to go brother, we are needed!" says the other, slicing the corpses neck open, just to be certain.

the two remaining knights turn towards the falchion, but it is already facing them. another shot removes the leg of the knight paladin

The blood angels move as the knight topples, molten metal streaming through the air as more crimson warriors assault the trench, engaging the Iron warriors in brutal hand to hand, their shock assault coming into play as their blows are overpowering to the enemy.

A different face is shown. .. unfamiliar, not one of their brothers.

before they can reach the trenches, several ash-mounds on both sides of the trench stirr and shake off the ashes, revealing Vindicator seige tanks, which open up at point blank range into the blood angels forces

*The drop pods slam home, carrying great plumes of ash into the air, their sides fall open, to reveal rows upon rows of bolters, and missile launchers. they twitch, then their auto-targeting arrays establish their targets, the missile launchers pounding the falchion and vindicators while the racks of bolters spray into the iron warrior's ranks*

upon exiting the pods, the salamander pods come under fire from a hail of missiles from the tyrant seige terminators and iron havocs, explosives ripping into their armoured hulls

"They cant fight on two fronts! push now!" Manson roars, blood angels valiantly charging the enemy tanks, climbing onto and punching into them with brute force.
others are blown away, atomised or dismembered, bodies being flung around; but it does little to halt the charge.

The iron warriors storm of fire only increases, as more of the buildings collapse to reveal sicarans, sicaran venators, and executioner predators

*A second plume of ash is forced into the air as blue lightning arcs around the pods, and a full company of salamanders appear, as if plucked from thin air, all armoured in terminator suits, and battle ready. without a word, they charge into the fray, pyriel himself charging straight at the falchion, a truly huge power sword in his hands, fire burning along its blade*

IC the tank reverses at full speed, crushing several of the terminators who were caught off guard beneath its treads, as the tyrant seige terminators target the salamanders with all their firepower

you need more than just a power field to do that, you need the kind of strength necessary to damage the thing
and an astartes with a power sword aint bloody enough

Perhaps the sword has the metal special rule

OOC: Going by all rules of sense the tracks aren't made of the armour that makes is inpenatrable, so a sword that can cut through terminators is gonna do fine

Fam use a melta bomb if all else fails

OOC if it was that easy to break the tracks they'd get immobalized all the time
not to mention the bloody thing is moving at max speed, aka faster than the salamander can run, and the sides of the tracks are covered by the armour

Real tanks do that. real tanks get tracked all the time, unfortunate design flaw

(Also considering these kind of tanks have a top speed of 25 kilometres per hour on roads, it aint going that fast in knee deep ash with debris and giant boulders everywhere)

IC the salamanders start to find themselves surrounded as the tyrant terminators advance and tactical support squads with plasma guns coordinate fire upon them

*The drop pods, upon the falchion leaving their range, switch their full firepower to the next available target, the tyrant terminators, a combination of assault cannon fire and both krak and frag missiles pound the terminators*

OOC if you go by deathwatch, (board game) marines can run 316kp/ph, so catching up shouldnt be hard. being a baneblade though...

their cataphracti armour mostly takes the fire as they turn, unleashing a punishing barrage of missiles, the drop pods crumbling under their firepower

the tyrants do not go down easily, their power fists inflicting terrible casualties upon the salamanders, as this pins them down long enough for the iron warriors' own melee specialists to close in, the salamanders now completely boxed in

IC The iron warriors numbers are telling however, and the fight is grinding to a bloody stalemate

Manson cuts through another iron warrior, his searing blade a point of hope for his brothers as he butchers foot soldiers with his incredible skill. He rushes for another, impacting his head with the tip of the blade, cutting through armour and melting it like wax.
His brothers ferocious nature lends well to the close quarters combat, being so close to their own brothers, it gives the blood angles some measure of protection from the heavy tanks in fear of friendly fire (unless you wanna start doing that)
Azkeroth climbs over the trench wall, seeing siege terminators engaged with salamanders, the fighting is truly intense, with plasma bolts and explosions being exchanged, tanks rolling over terminators only for them to get back up, their armour dented and torn.
Mustering his bravery, Azkeroth charges in; unnoticed by both sides and slices out at a terminator, his golden blade carving through the tactical dreadnought armour like it was nothing, severing the legs beneath him.

There is a rumble as the last nearby ash mound, a huge one, moves, the ashes shaking loose to reveal the monster beneath. a typhon heavy seige tank. The instant after it has stirred, the surviving tyrant terminators are teleported away to a fallback location nearby. the tightly packed salamanders and blood angels are now right in the tank's line of fire. with a thunderous boom the cannon fires, right into the heart of the loyalists.

it wont wipe out your entire force, your commander'll survive, and anyone in terminator armour, especially cataphractii pattern, has a chance of being fine
plus, your assault termies get stormshields, any equipped with those are more likely fine, if knocked on their asses
