"There aren't that many here"

he starts moving on, making sure the albionite is following

*He is*

after a bit of a walk they reach the edge of athel loren, and stop for a minute
the very air feels slightly...strange

"The spirits know you're here"

"Lead on"

he does so, and almost instantly they find it
dead trees, rotten ground and leaves, even wildlife lying around, dead or dying, rotting whether death has taken them or not

*Gwyddion is visibly shocked*

the others aren't exactly pleased to see it either

"What did this?"

"What do you want me to do?"

"As you wish"

the knight dismounts and starts looking around

*Gwyddion keeps watch*

he finds some scratchmarks on a tree, not from any beast he's ever seen or tracked

*He continues to watch and look out for things*

eventually he hears a noise

*He turns to it and try's to identify the source*

he hears a strange voice talking in a language he doesnt know

*He goes searching for it with his bow at the ready*

He also hears a squeak and a bit of scurrying

*He backs himself into a tree and draws the bow*

The scurrying stops as he starts to hear digging

*He begins walking towards it*

he sees two figures with dark brown robes on, and strange, elongated metal masks covering their faces. on their backs are large metal tank like things, and rat like tails poking out from below the robes. they turn around and look at him, freezing still

*He looses an arrow at the closest, punching through the glass in its visor*

it dies as the other grabs what looks like a glass orb and throws it at him

*He dives rather quickly away and looses a second arrow toward the surviving rat*

it dies, but the ball impacts the floor near him, releasing poisonous gas

*unfortunately he isn't fast enough to escape the rapidly escaping gas and falls to the ground choking and ghasping for air*

he passes out
he wakes up a bit later, the bright wizard crouched over him. he's been moved to outside the forest

*He stares up groggily*

"Careful, you breathed in a bit too much of that stuff"

*Broken reikspiel* "What happen?"

"Gas. You found the culprits of the poisoning"

"Dead?"

"these ones. But they are Skaven. There are bound to be many, many more"

"Where?"

he helps him up

*Once up Gwyddion begins looking for his weapons*

they're right next to him

*He quickly crouches down and picks them up, regretting this choice instantly as he's still weak from the poison*

the wizard supports him before he bloody collapses

"Thanks..."

he grins as he helps him over to where Henry and the others are. the gas has dispersed now so the area is safe, and the knight is looking over the dead rats
