Serah: *she nods, and picks her helmet up off the table next to the door* "I'd like to come along this time, we've been sitting around too long."

Laurence: "I don't offer to flay people for just anyone."

Charles: of course. *smile*

Caiber: I'm flattered.

Serah: *Dons her helmet, the seal hissing, and the eyepieces lighting, a baleful red glow.*

Laurence: *Chuckles*

Charles leads the way to the gym

Hera: ~Fine. just... my mum.~

Laurence: "Charles already knows about you... throne knows how."

Laurence: "Probably not... I'll have to make it clear to charles' he's not to go fucking with my men."

Serah: "So, what's the situation down planetside?"

Laurence: "He obviously distrusts me."

Charles: Unknown. Got the Archmagos doing a scan as we speak.

Caiber: All things considered, can you blame him? *smirk*

Laurence: "I checked his file... He's quite probably more radical than i am."

Serah: "But we know the location? We should move quickly, we have about six hours before the iron warriors arrive, if last time is representative."

Caiber: probably watching his back, then.

Charles: agreed. We're standing by for warp jump now.

Laurence: "Probably..."

Serah: "No emergency jumps this time."

Caiber: would make sense to me.

Charles: agreed. *gym arrival*

*jax is beating the crap out of a punch bag, with his shirt off, charles can see the numerous wounds he has sustained over the years. His back is criss crossed with scars, from, blades bullets and las burns. His augmetic right arm covers his shoulder and across his shoulder blade and upper chest. Its instilation was obviously messy, as the skin around it is heavilly scarred. He launches a strong right hook with his augmetic, wrenching against the bolts holding it to the roof.*

Laurence: "Not sure i like it though"

Charles: I think he's dead. *grins*

Caiber: whatdya mean?

Laurence: "I consider myself to be treading a fine line. If charles is more radical than me, he's crossed the line."

Jax: "You ever fist fought a daemon charles? I can tell you it aint dead yet."

Caiber: a hypothetical line is hard to locate.

Charles: depends on the type.

Jax: "Bloodletter."

Laurence: "Fair point."

Charles: eh, you're not wrong then. How're you holding up?

Caiber: glad you think so

Jax: "well enough. *smiles* Hera... sorry you had to learn about it like that."

Hera: "Its alright dad."

Laurence: "I'm still keeping an eye on him."

Charles : I have... news for you.

Caiber: didnt say not to.

Jax: "Oh? Do tell."

Laurence: "Also, the fact he tried to bribe me doesn't sit well. Theres something dodgy."

Charles: Laurence has agreed to stop pursuing you both. On one condition.

Caiber: Bribe?

Laurence: "That video, and oh so subtlety offering to sponsor me to become an inquisitor."

Jax: "The condition being?"

Caiber: a bribe usually comes with a request laurence...something in return.

Charles: you remain under my 'watch'

Laurence: "Such as... please don't kill my girlfriends parents?"

Jax: "Well. Thats not perfect."

Serah: "we can still see akira."

Jax: "oh... so... whats the catch?"

Caiber: girlfriend?

Charles: just that I need to moniter you, make sure you're not getting into any trouble.

Laurence: "Oh, you haven't seen them. Charles is screwing his apprentice. Who is the child of Jax and Serah imallia."

Serah: "And trouble entails...?"

Caiber: *shrugs* fair enough.

Charles: toppling planetary governments, for a start.

Laurence: "Completely unprofessional, but not uncommon."

Jax: "We... have done that more than once."

Caiber: he doesn't strike me as the most professional fellow.

Charles: I know.

Laurence: "That does worry me somewhat."

Jax: "So... no more government toppling."

Serah: "Anything else on the no no list?"

Caiber shrugs with all three shoulders

Charles: killing members of the inquisition outside of self defence seems fair enough.

OOC: *Appears magically*

Laurence: "indeed..."

Jax: "Seems reasonable..."

Caiber: anyway, shall we get over there?

Charles: took some convincing...still best you make yourselves scarce while he's around.

Jax: "Hmmm... probably best. We might not recognise him actually... its been what... Thirty years?"

Laurence: *Arrive at the hangar just as he says that*

Charles: I'll let you know when he's around*

*takeoff ahoy?*

*When lyanna wakes up one morning, instead of being met by the warm presense of tyen, on the other side of their new bed... There's just a sheet of paper, with a note written in tyren's hand, strong unjoined letters. "Morning honey, breakfast is on the table, come down to the forge when you've eaten. xx"

*Takeoff indeed*

Serah: "We'll have to talk to him eventually... we can't keep running from that."

After dressing in her usual bulky power armour, she heads to the forge
by now her men have been informed of the astartes' presence, and their loyalty to the maiden leads no questions to be asked

*they are greeted in the hangar by a squad of scions*

Charles: still, better to prolong it somewhat

Laurence: "morning gentlemen... Or whatever time it is."

Serah: "Yeah, best to."

*She comes down to the forge, and sees tyren sitting with a paintbrush, finishing off the detailing of the pauldron do a suit of mark five heresy pattern power armour. said suit standing next to him. *

Tempestor (scion sergeant): My lord. *nods*

A scion runs up to charles. "My lord, Laurence has arrived on board."

Lyanna: Impressive.

meanwhile, back in charles' forge, the salamanders hear the unmistakable thudding of terminator armour footsteps

Jax: "Wonderful, we'll just stay here...."

Logen: "Didn't know there was a terminator aboard..."

*Mallus levels his bolter at the door.*

Tyren: "It's just about finished. Finally i can be taller than you again."

Laurence: "If you could point me in the general direction of Inquisitor carstien."

Crach: ah, that damn loner pulled his arse outta his hidey-hole.
*a huge, hulking deathwatch terminator enters. His deathwatch arm bears a power fist with auxiliary meltagun. his chapter shoulder is blue-grey, with the sigil of a red shield and a double headed axe

Lyanna laughs at that

Charles: probably for the best. See you later. *to the scion* tell him to meet me on the bridge. *heads for the bridge*

Tempestor: *checks his wrist-computor thing* He's on the bridge.
