she sighs and settles down to bed

mako is awoken by a loud bang on her dore
Thane: oi foods cooked get up if ya wan any

she mumbles to herself and gets up, opening the door

The thane is already walking back to the mess "ya comin er what?"

she follows, stretching and yawning

"It has walls metres thick, and is claimed to be unassailable"

Trajan: so does every fortress or city worth its salt

The ship is huge and after a few minuets of walking the thane leads mako to the mess, its a large romm with areound 30 thengul milling about eating, drinking and boasting.

she looks awkwardly around for a free seat

"True, true. but it might just have some merit"

Trajan: so do they all. And I've taken a great deal of them

"Do not underestimate their defences, hubris may be your end"

she sits beside vulka, cause she doesnt know anyone else

A thrall sets down a plate of eggs and salted fish.
Vulka: mornin.

*The Lieutenant leaves*

The thrall nods and gets back to work
Vulka: his names ulrick he cant talk. hard worker tho

"Cant talk as-in physically or not allowed?"

*A few minutes later the lieutenant returns*

"Do you have any orders for him?"

Trajan: bring him here

"As you wish"
*He leaves*

*The Prince walks in several minutes later*
"Uncle"

"Nephew, wine?"

"A goblet"

he pours it and hands it to him

"Thank you. You requested my presence"

"How would you say the battle went?"

"Successfully, I didn't lose a single man so I'm happy"

"And I lost less than a dozen. Initial reports indicate kelthrovi dead at over three thousand"

"That's because they sent under equipped, under trained slaves to do a soldiers job"

"Perceptive. Correct"

Vulka: as in he physically cant talk

Mako: oh, okay. Look....sorry about being so....assumptive about your people last night

Vulka: its fine most see us as marauding barbarians and their right (chear from the crew) but we have standards

Mako: its just...I've only really had one encounter with....for lack of a better word 'slavers'

*Sips from his goblet*

Vulka: oh?

Trajan: how's that town you captured fairing?

Mako: well....the last time I saw my older sister she was being dragged off in chains by kelthrovi raiders

"The residents are still afraid of us but hopefully they'll calm down"

Vulka: you have our sympathy

Trajan: good. good.

Mako:...thanks

Vulka: what was her name?

"Maho"

Most of the thanes shake their heads
Vulka: we have not heared of any clan that has her so she may still be in kelthrovi hands.
