*she floats above the gateway in her fiery magnificence until the horde is through*

*meanwhile, on the other side, an ork by the name of Dungpile is peacefully shoveling dung into their brand new infinite shit-disposal that just appeared in the middle of da kamp....*

*Adriel flies directly upwards, and hovers on slow strokes of mighty wingbeats.*

Lir: ....I see you are getting the hang of it.... I have stopped feeding power into this breach... care to close it, oh holy one...?

Adriel: *His golden aura swells to blinding, leaving him a pulsing golden sun, crackling with building power, he extends his arms, tiny golden threads whirling around him, and lashing out to puncture the very fabric of reality.* 

"IN IMPERATORIS NOMEN, AD TENEBRIS CLAUDERENT HANCEUM CAUSAM!"
 

*The breach quivers as the golden threads pull taught, and snaps closed with a deafening bang.*

Lir: *grimacing* ......how unpleasant... Still.... *looks around at the orky debris left behind* .....this should convince them....

Adriel: *Slowly drifts to the ground, his golden aura dimming to its usual faint glow.*

Lir: *she lands next to him, returning to her usual level of fiery drakeness...* ......Getting used to those powers?

"Never... closed a breach... on my own before..."

Lir: quite useful for someone of your profession...

*He starts to wobble, and spreads his wings to balance himself* "I'll be fine in a moment."

Lir: HAH! One wrong move, and you faceplant into ork dung!

*He holds up a hand towards lir, and slowly extends one finger. His middle one.* "Fuckkk offff."

Lir: You have a willing expert on the matter if you want that sort of thing... Im sure Cyra would be more than happy to accomodate... now, if you are done nursing yourself, I propose we return for our victory parade...

Adriel: "Give. me. a. moment." *Grunts.* "I just used more power in about ten seconds than i've ever used in a week."

Lir: You should get used to it sooner rather than later... That much is nothing if you want to beat a greater demon...

Adriel: "I can stab a greater daemon. And you watched me go toe to toe with one, before this."

Lir: You did not kill them... well, the battle in the citadel was an exception... Amonieth had his devices... We captured those... But before that, you just banished them for a while.... Now, when you kill one, they actually die... usually...

*Adriel flutters his fingers, and the golden threads weave around his  right hand... claw.* "I can imagine this will hurt a daemon quite considerably."

Lir: ...keep them away from me... just looking at them is irritating... Are those even your actual fingers, or just your armor?

Adriel: "The claws? just my armour." *the threads continue to dance around him as he plays them through his fingers. with a flourish, he sends them out, and they wrap around a discarded ork helmet. then he closes his hand into a fist, and pulls. Shards of helmet, cut along perfect, straight lines, clatter to the floor in a rattling heap.*

Lir: highly amusing... a stringmaster, arent you?

Adriel: *he relaxes his hand, and the threads fall to the floor, and slowly loose their lustre, fading to nothing.* "Quite... it is an interesting skill that i will have to experiment with."

Lir: Indeed... are you ready to depart?

Adriel: "Yes, lead us off, saint lir."

Lir: *starting to run towards the imperials again* ....I am still unsure as to how I feel about being called that.... praise, but in the name of the corpse-god...

Adriel: *Keeping pace* "Watch your tongue."

Lir: It is not false... ....obviously, i am not going to say that in front of the humans...

Tyren: "The god emperor is not a corpse."

Lir: ....does he have a heartbeat? does he breathe? does he move at all?

Adriel: "Yes, yes, no."

Lir: He does? that is news.... the old man is in better shape than i expected....

Adriel: "Although his heartbeat is more of a pump beat..."

Lir: Fine, a vegetable-god then...

Adriel: "You haven't got much to stand on, your god is a paraplegic."

Lir: Yours is a dessicated skeleton.... *she turns to disguise as they are closing in on the imperial city again*

Adriel: "At least he used to do things."

Lir: My ex-god is still doing things

Adriel: "Some hardcore chair sitting."

Lir: Inciting war throughout the known universe?

Adriel: "While sitting on a chair."

Lir: I never said he was setting good examples... besides, so is your god.,...

Adriel: "He's mentally fighting all four chaos god simultaneously"

Lir: ...this argument is getting stupid.... where is that priest? ....oh.... are those our statues?

*The shrine stands finished before them, grand wooden doors, exquisitely engraved with a sword on the left door, and an axe on the right. The whitewashed walls, and domed roof are finished. Pillars of white soapstone, embedded into the walls surround it, twelve in total, supporting the great domed roof.* 

Adriel: "They're inside, lir."

Lir: .....well... they build quickly... lets see what we have inside... *she strides forwards, opening the doors with a swift motion*

*A statue of herself stares back with a vengeful expression, cut from red marble, with veins of gray-black, adorned with golden flourishes sparkling white gemstones, smooth cut and polished, rest in her eyes. alongside her statue, on the other side of the priest's pulpit, a simple gray stone block, adorned with a silver aquilla, is adriel's statue, cut from pearl-white marble, with the faintest of gray veins, his helmet staring and cold, with a pair of rubies, sitting in his eyes. His wings almost scrape the ceiling with their pointed tips, adorned with silver on the leading edge of his feathers, and the tips of his mighty claw. Both statues hold their weapons, resting on the floor.* 

Adriel: "Magnificent..."

Lir: ....well.... a bit too many gemstones, but otherwise, I am actually impressed with the way they captured my image...

Adriel: "There are four gemstones, two in your eyes, and two in mine. I'm simply impressed at how my wings are.... possible by the laws of physics...." *He notices four, very thin cables, discreetly hidden, two on each wing, attaching them to the ceiling.* "Oh... cables, of course."

Lir: At least you have yours...

Adriel: "I look rather regal don't you think, you just look angry."

Lir: I have no idea why.... I am fairly certain that I took on a... majestic look when they saw me...
