A slightly smaller Mess

Emma: Yeah I'm fine. That was years ago now.

Anne: not as satisfying.

Jack: "Right? there's no sense of achievement shooting someone."

Akira: "Still, that thing between max and me was too. It's still pretty raw."

Anne: exactly. Too easy.

Emma: fair enough....wouldn't still have the sword if I was completely over it.

jack: "That and its just what i got good at. didn't have any guns back home."

Akira: "Well, wouldn't throw away a sword like that."

Anne: where'd you grow up?

Emma: yea, guess not

jack: "Paradise world, called Signate. you?"

Akira: "Its a nice blade."

Anne: hive world. 'cleaves'

Emma: agreed...unusual looking though. Never did find out who the marines were.

Akira: "Show it to rob, he'll probably know more."

Jack: "wasn't much of a paradise."

Emma: already did, he didn't know.

Anne: yeah, was kinda a shithole from a certain level down.

Jack: "Tends to be the way. Rich on top shittin on everyone else."

Akira: "Well shit... I can think of a few people who might know more."

Anne: why do you think I went out of my way to go down into that mess and try to sort it out to some degree?

Emma: yeah...ah well.

Jack: "Why do you think i went up to go sort out the mess somewhat?" *Smile*

Akira: "Doesn't matter so much."

Anne: *chuckles* it's like you're my mirror universe counterpart

Emma: agreed.

Max: *Has been listening silently*

Akira: "So... You want a drink max? you look like you need one."

jack: "'cept, you ain't a psychopath."

Max: *Nods* "Yeah...please"

Anne: like I said, mirror universe *chuckles and takes a drink*

Emma: *drink*

akira: *Pours him a glass, and hands it to him* "Well this is fucking depressing."

Jack: "So you did."

Max: *Takes it* "Well you did just tell Emma how we met"

Akira: "The meeting wasn't so bad. We just sprayed some thugs brains onto a wall."

Emma: not to me it isn't.

Anne: yeah...so you went up started dealing with arsehole nobles?

Jack: "One throat at a time. They started hiring more guards, trying to secure their mansions. It was like a game. I never lost." *Starts chuckling.*

Max: If I recall correctly, we had eachother at gunpoint and then I executed some poor bastard when he tried to mug me

Anne: you're reminding me of how I went after crime bosses.

Akira: "Actually, i was luring you to a secluded back alley to choke you unconscious, then some thug tried to mug you, i pointed my gun at him. then you shot him full of holes"

jack: "I'm guessing your method was... kicking open the front door though?"

Max: I guess my memory is a little off then. But I know that suit bastard rolled up soon after and basically hired us

Akira: "yeahhh.... Shame he tried to screw us in the end."

Emma: *sip*

Anne: ooho no....well at first I did...but then I started to catch on that that was temporary at best.

Jack: "And your tactics developed into?"

Anne: well.....fear tactics became a bit of a favorite. Find gangs, pick em all off except one, leave him with some wound that'll never properly heal, usually some form of dismemberment, then let him go back to his mates to spread the word of the avenging knight that just turned his fellows into diced meat.

Max: It took us less than an hour to decide that we were going to kill him

Akira: "Well yeah... yeah true..."


Jack: "well, and i thought you weren't a psychopath. I once left a noble swinging from his chandelier, with his throat slit of course."

Max: *Chuckles and takes a sip*

Emma: Come on...there's a bright side, this isn't depressing to me, surprisingly

Anne: Not a psychopath. Just leaving an impression. Make it so when I do kick down the door, they're shitting themselves too much to fight back properly.

jack: "Door kicking isn't really my style. Im more of a window person."

Akira: "Really? Talking about your best friend dying?"

Anne: eh, call it a flare for the dramatic....they really feel neutered when you storm through the way they expect, which is their most protected entrance, and they can't stop you.

Emma: Yeah...talking about all this....makes me realise how much better I've got it now i've met you guys

Max: *laughs* Oh thanks!

jack: "But it fucks with people so much when you sneak in and kill the person they're sleeping with, and they dont notice till the morning. You can't top that."

Akira: "When pirates are better than the actual army, something is wrong." *Chuckles*

Anne: eh, sneaking was never my strong suit. Hence the armour.

Emma chuckles also and takes another drink

jack: "Like a shadow." *winks*

anne chuckles and takes another drink

*so... they chat more, i suppose?*

Max: You got that right

Akira: "but i think we're a pretty good pirate outfit."

*Wanna do caiber and laurence things?*

Emma: can't wait to actually give this whole pirate thing a try.

*So far, throughout the jump, laurence has not come out of his quarters.*

Jack: "So, you know how i ended up here, how did you?"

Akira: "It usually involves boarding a ship, you'll get involved soon enough."

Anne: well... *drink* the inquisitor kinda...saved my life

Emma: heh, fair enough. Still guess I should keep this under wraps eh? *angel wings!!!*

Caiber knocks his door

Laurence: *Sigh* "What is it?" *there is the sound of bone cracking.*

Akira: "If you don't want to give people heart attacks."

Jack: "Oh? How did that happen?"

Caiber: checking that you're alive.
