she sits opposite him and takes a drink

*He takes off his helmet, and sets it on the table. then takes a long drink*

she does likewise, chugging deep from her bottle

"By the gods..."

"What?"

"Its been a long few days."

"Yeah... best few days I've had in a long time"

"Massacres included?"

"I wasn't the one getting massacred this time."

"Valid point." *he takes a swig*

she pauses for a moment. seemingly gazing out into space. she appears to snap out of it before taking another swig

"You alright?"

"Hm? yeah, I'm fine"

"You... stared into space for a moment."

"..I did?"

"Yes... were you thinking about the ambush again?"

"No...sorry I must have blanked out there"

"Its fine, was probably nothing."

"Probably...*chug*"

*he drinks more.* "You know... they probably have glasses in here somewhere."

"We could be drinking out of them, instead of bottles."

"...why?"

*shrugs* "More convenient?"

"Hmn." *Chug*

"How long do you reckon. till an army comes to take the city back?"

"Depends how long till they find out."

"Hmmm...." *he looks at his hand* "No... Not today i think."

"I could check... But i think i'll just enjoy my... whatever time of day it is. Feels like evening."

*Shrugs*

*Swigs* "So?"

"I dunno. Something to talk about?"

"...You ever fight chaos? when you were in the army."

"Warriors or marauders?"

"Either or, both?"

"Marauders many times. Warriors once."

"Ever seen a steam tank? those warriors hadn't. They didn't live to tell their comrades to avoid them."
