IC he finds it on the floor. it hadn't been taken yet due to it being hidden beneath a body. he'd only lifted it in the first place to see if it was worth eating. with a grin he takes it and completely dismantles it, pocketing all the parts. he then inspects to see if the body is in a good enough condition to take a lump from for eating later

Bush spins, knocking the gun away, however the cultist goes to swing with his right arm, but screams as a plasma bolt melts away his midriff, and he falls in superheated agony.

Ortus opens up with his rifle, taking down two with a surprise attack, the others yell in frustration and charge, flailing weapons and screaming death threats.
