Joachim: Against who, exactly?

"the shogun calls for expansion. and with ocean to the south, cymria to the east and dracia to the north, there is only one way to go"

Joachim: And that way is north perhaps? Into the tribes?

"I did say war is brewing"

Joachim: Of course. Now, what I need to know is if my men and I are free to leave.

"Yes, but I bid you stay at least tonight, it is late and it would allow me to make up for the mistakes of my men"

Joachim: Very well. I suppose not sleeping on the ground would be nice for once.

"I will have rooms prepared for you, feel free to explore the town"

Joachim: You have my thanks. As I am not familiar with your property, would asking for one of your men to show my expedition where the guests rooms are be asking to much?

*They follow whatever attendant they are provided. Joachim thanks the man and sends him on his way.*

*A small group splits from the expedition to explore the town.*

they make definite note of 3 'groups' socially

*Which perplexes them, given there are only two actual social groups in Brigard, the common folk and the nobility.*

they are nearly as numerous as the men

*Which surprises them, for clear reasons.*

the locals are giving them surprised looks

*Which makes the Birgardi uncomfortable, given how distrusting they are of non-Brigardi. They decide to move on and continue exploring.*

later that night there is a knock at joeachim's door

*One of the guards inside the structure opens the door.*

Guard: Yes?

its a young woman, of the civilian caste
"Hello? I have been sent by the daimyo" (its clear she's not used to speaking this language)

*The guard steps aside to let her enter.*

she enters, a bit nervous

*Another guard escorts her to Joachim.*

Joachim: What is it your....daimyo needs?

"He asked me to give you these" *she hands a parcel*

*He takes it.*

Joachim: Thank you. You may go.

"hai." *she turns and leaves*

*When he is sure she is gone, he opens the parcel.*

first a note from the daimyo, saying to show the second item to any voldamian troops and they wont be harmed
second, a coin with the Takeda clan symbol upon it
third, a katana

*He examines the coin for a moment before storing it somewhere safe. He then unsheathes the blade and examines it.*

its very well crafted, as with any authentic katana

*He examines the most prominent feature of the blade, the curve.*

*I dunno, something about the edge? About how the blade differs from the straight swords he's used to? Okay, moving on. He sheathes the blade and resolves to see the daimyo in the morning.*

Joachim's fingers brushed against metal as he pulled the sword from its sheath and held it out in front of him. The silver blade glinted beneath the candle light, as he turned it over in his hands, marveling at the skills of the blacksmith. The leather hilt fitted into his hand easily, as if it had been custom designed for him. The blade itself curved at a shallow angle adding a sort of grace to the weapon's form.

Ooc. Erm... So i wanted to check the time on my watch and noticed that the analogue part stopped(it has both hands and a number display)... And i was like...yeah, probably the battery giving out... But then it started ticking backwards....
Should i be worried about a demonic presence, or is my ancient mage heritage finally awakening? O.o

OOC: You should panic. The last time my clocks went haywire I was transported into an alternate reality and recruited to fight against a world dominating empire in my WW2 era Destroyer....admittedly I then built a battleship with Wave guns, and then retrofitted the HMS Ark Royal to have jets and laser batteries, before partaking in a reality bending gunnery duel with this Empire's newest super weapon warship thing. Which caused a fracture in the space-time continuum that dragged me, my fleet and my crew back in time to when I first appeared in that alternate reality.

OOC. ...uhhuhh..... that would actually solve my "I dont know what the hell to do with my life" and "I have a thesis to write soon!" problems... nothing to worry about then...

OOC: I'm currently on my 15th loop. Needless to say it's getting repetitive, but slapping nothing but chain guns on twin hull battleships is both OP and fun!
Or possibly spamming lasers and jets against prop aircraft in mission 5(there are like 40-50 missions)

*Ket'verahi is an imposing figure, on obvious mix of racial attributes as is common in kelthro, as the slavetrade causes a mixing pot of races. he seems to be predominately a mix of kelthrovi and dracian, gaining his height and broad shoulders from the dracian side, and olive skin and almond eyes from his kelthrovi heritage. His arms bear a lattice of scars, some deeper than others, and he bears numerous scars on his left cheek, all running parallel, from his ear to jaw. his hair is cropped close and well kept*
