Serah: "Yeah... He does. I couldn't just leave him to rot. So... *smiles a little* So i tore off my rosarius and hurled it at her head." *Anne notices that, despite her hurling it at someones head, she seems to still have it, on a chain around her waist.*

Jax: "The only craftworld i know of with humans on it as well."

Anne: too useful to just leave though, I'm assuming?

Charles: that is..definitely rare

Serah: *Looks down* "Oh, no... *Chuckles* One of my sisters threw it to me as i left, they didn't try to stop me."

Jax: "As far as i know there's still one aboard."

Anne: ah. 

Charles: is that so?

Jax: "Not one you'd expect either."

Serah: "Then i stole a ship, went down to the planet, and picked him up. Been running since."

Charles: go on..

Anne: not anymore it would seem.

Jax: "An assassin, believe it or not. Vindicare."

Serah: "Perhaps not, still don't trust your boss though."

Charles: oh. Him. 

Anne: he has yet to wrong me, and I have served him for years.

Jax: "Him. Had a chat with him once or twice."

Serah: "Slightly different circumstances... but i'll keep it in mind."

Charles: I had thought him just a rumor.

Anne: *nods* I can understand the mistrust.

Jax: "No, Real deal. somehow managed to break his conditioning."

Serah: "hold on a... Why haven't you just asked him about this?"

Charles:....interesting.

Anne: it is not my place to do so. His job is too important, so I have not mentioned it.

Jax: "No proof, but i heard they had a daughter, not impossible, so it turns out."

Serah: *Shrugs* "Fair enough." *She sits down at the desk, picks up a glass, and takes a sip.*

Charles: not impossible....just beyond difficult.

Anne: you think I should?

Serah: "Sure, seems the type to help, and we've got plenty of time."

Jax: "What is it with eldar women going for humans huh?" *Smirk*

Anne: Maybe.... 

Charles rolls his eyes

Hera: "Dad..."

Jax: "What? it's true."


Serah: "Then go ask, you don't get if you don't ask girl."

Charles: *changing subject deliberately* How's your hand, Hera? getting used to the missing finger?

Anne: I...you're right

Jax: "haha."

Hera: "Yeahh... never really used it anyway."

Serah: "Off you go then."

Charles: good. I suppose the power armour helps with that a little too eh?

Anne: maybe later....we have a mission to do now.

Hera: "I don't like wearing it around all the time."

Serah: "Not for another few days."

Charles: I get that. Don't wear mine all the time either.

Anne: true...

Hera: "bit enclosed."

Serah: "So... why are you still in my room?"

Charles nods before standing up
"Anyway, I have some things to attend to. See you both later." *he leaves the bridge, psychically signalling to hera to meet him in his study*

Anne: oh! sorry, milady *she bows her head respectfully* I'll leave you be. *she goes to leave*

Serah: *Smirks* "Kids these days."

Jax: "I'd best go see your mother." *Pats hera on the head playfully*

Hera: *Psychic eyebrow raise*

*walks into his study.* "Hey..."

"Hey" *he smiles* "thought it might be nice to have some private time"

Hera: "Can't argue with that, the busy life of an inquisitor huh?"

Charles: *gently takes her hand* Best to take these moments while we can, I think.

Hera: *her eyes widen.* "Oh... ohhhhh..." *She locks eyes with him, and bites the corner of her lip.*

"Is something wrong?"

"No, everything is very right actually." *Smiles*

*She walks over to the door, and turns the key.* "There, private."

*Above the paradise world, a dauntless light cruiser drops out of the warp, its transponder beacon marks it as an inquisitorial craft, and it cuts through the red tape quickly, coming to a stable anchor-orbit.*

Charles: completely.

Hera: "Lucky for the people next door."

Charles: *chuckles* indeed. *he puts his shirt back on*

Hera: *She slides her arms back into her coat, and shrugs it on* "well, I didn't expect that when i got up this morning."

Charles: I personally like a good surprise every now and then. *he walks over and kisses Hera*
