Manson nods, and continues to the command bunker.

Inside he finds the man who is clearly in carge, leaning over a command bunker, clad in non-astartes artificer armour

Anders: Does it fucking matter?! All of you bastards always looked down on we olympians!

*the salamander sitting down talks* "The salamanders believe astartes are equal to humans, we're the only legion who keeps contact with our families, and our first duty is to the emperor's citizens"

"Bah! I dont beleive that for a second! You fucking imperials are slaughtering my people right now, calling us 'tainted', just cause we fight for our home rather than some shiny twat who I've never even seen with my own eyes!"

*he grunts, looking around for the astartes... person, thing... TELL ME HIS NAME* "That grenade hurt you know"

Sarti (the one holding the grenade): "You mean slaughtering the people used as slave cannon fodder sent at machine guns by your masters?"

"We have medkits, and the shots were non lethal."

*The scout watches as Lucius slams into his comrade, the impact having enough concussive force to leave him unconscious and potentially with severe internal bleeding*

Drell: ah, the 9th legion, its a pleasure

"BROTHER!" *he drags anders to his feet*

Drell: its bad, they've had time to fortify. Easiest route would be exterminatus, but that would cause massive civilian casualties

"What is the situation with the local population... I imagine the iron warriors have used them for labour"

Drell: not all. Only one of the iron warriors commanders uses slaves, and the land controlled by his rivals does not seem to make use of them. Aerial recon has confirmed this.

"Stay down or the next blow will kill you"

*the scout feels a barrel at the back of his helmet*
"Don't be stupid, you haven't broken his hand he can still replace the pin"

"Have you identified a route that we could take advantage of? Somewhere less patrolled or defended perhaps? A way to break through?"

Drell: Unfortunatly not.
